Frosting buckets

My friend gave me this great idea.  You can often get frosting buckets, from Walmart or Sam's Club when they are done using them.  I made friends with the manager of the bakery at Walmart and was getting up to 11 buckets a week.  I often take cookies when I go to get buckets, and this has made all the difference.  They are happy to save me buckets and happy to see me with a treat.  The reason I want these buckets is to store water and food.  I know this is not ideal.  I would prefer to go buy a water barrel, new buckets etc.  However I cannot do that, and feel like I've been shown another way.  I have only stored flour, sugar, bags of brown sugar, and water in these.  You can put 5 oxygen packets in the top of the bucket, (some agree, some don't), or use the dry ice method.  The buckets are time consuming to clean.  I clean them out and wash them in the back yard.  Soap, water, and vinegar seem to be the best thing to clean these greasy buckets.  It is also a great job for the kids.
